PagerDuty Integration

This is a feature of the Team Plan and above.

These steps will walk you through integrating OnlineOrNot with PagerDuty, so that when your website goes offline, the current on-call person will be alerted.

Set up an Uptime Check first

To start with, make sure you have already set up an uptime check in OnlineOrNot.

Configuring PagerDuty for OnlineOrNot

  1. In PagerDuty's menu, hover over Services, then click on Service Directory

  2. For the service you wish to send OnlineOrNot alerts to, hover over the More button, and click the View Integrations button

  3. If you have no existing integrations, click directly on the "Add an Integration" button

  4. Select "Events API V2", and click the Add button at the bottom of the page

  5. Once created, click on the Down icon (it's the arrow icon next to the cog icon), (optionally, update the Integration's name to something more memorable, like "OnlineOrNot"), and copy the integration key

Configuring OnlineOrNot

  1. With the PagerDuty integration key copied, edit your existing uptime check and scroll down to Alert Settings
  2. Under Webhook type, select PagerDuty
  3. Paste your PagerDuty integration key into the Integration Key field, and click Update
