Pausing Uptime Checks

Once you've created your uptime checks, you have the option to pause them.

This is particularly useful for when you know the page you're monitoring will flip/flop between being online and offline while recovering from maintenance.

How to pause your uptime checks

1. Head to the Uptime checks dashboard, and click on the monitor you want to pause

   

2. Click on the "Pause" button to pause your check.

   

How to resume your uptime checks

1. Head to the Uptime checks dashboard, and click on the monitor you want to resume

   

2. Click on the "Start" button to resume your check.

   

Things to be aware of

• Paused uptime checks continue to count towards your plan's limit
• Paused uptime checks will not alert you when your page goes offline (as they are not running)
• Pausing an uptime check with an active incident will not end the incident - when you resume the uptime check and the page comes back online, OnlineOrNot will still send you a notification
