Alert Integrations

Spike Integration

This is a feature of the Team Plan and above.

These steps will walk you through integrating OnlineOrNot with spike.sh, so that when your website goes offline, the current on-call person will be alerted.

Set up an Uptime Check first

To start with, make sure you have already set up an uptime check in OnlineOrNot.

Configuring Spike for OnlineOrNot

  1. In Spike's menu, click into Integrations, then click on the New integration button Spike's integration screen
  2. Select "webhook", and click Next Spike's new integration screen
  3. Give your integration a name (preferably so you recognize that it is from OnlineOrNot), and click Create Integration Spike's webhook form
  4. Select an escalation policy for your OnlineOrNot integration Spike's escalation policy
  5. Once created, click on the Copy webhook button, and a modal displaying the URL that OnlineOrNot needs will appear, click the copy icon, then open OnlineOrNot Spike's webhook modal

Configuring OnlineOrNot

  1. With the Spike Webhook copied, edit your existing uptime check and scroll down to Alert Settings
  2. Under Webhook type, select Spike.sh OnlineOrNot Webhook selection for Spike
  3. Paste your Spike Webhook URL into the Webhook URL field, and click Update OnlineOrNot Webhooks URL for Spike
